Tasting: Corenova

  • Name: Cortenova
  • Variety: Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo
  • Region: Veneto
  • Country: Italy
  • Year: 2010
  • Price: $6.95

My Review: This wine has a light berry scent with a blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry mid taste. It is lightly acidic, and a bit dry. The finish was well balanced, the acidity was not overwhelming.

Shop Review: Deep ruby red color with violet highlights and a pleasant and fruity bouquet. Full bodied, soft tannins and good acidity. Excellent with pasta dishes and red meats.

I did not try this wine with food.
